Article: Sen. McCain Introduces Bill Concerning Highway Fuel Tax Holiday

WASHINGTON, April 26 -- Sen. John McCain, R-Arizona, has introduced a bill (S. 2890) to "amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to provide for a highway fuel tax holiday."

The bill, introduced on April 17, was co-sponsored by Sens. Jon Kyl, R-Arizona; Richard Burr, R-North Carolina; Lindsey Graham, R-South Carolina; Mel Martinez, R-Florida; John Warner, R-Virginia; Saxby Chambliss, R-Georgia; Joe Lieberman, ID-Connecticut; and John E. Sununu, R-New Hampshire. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
