The city of Chapel Hill issued the following press release:
Chapel Hill TV18, the government access channel for the Town of Chapel Hill on Time Warner Cable, has been awarded a $25,000 grant from the e-NC Authority.
Chapel Hill was one of only five public, education or government access channels from across North Carolina to receive the award. The funds will be used to upgrade television cameras and other equipment used to videotape government meetings. Partnering with the Town of Chapel Hill on the grant application was the Orange Water and Sewer Authority and the Chapel Hill Carrboro City Schools.
Funds for the grants came from a $1 million appropriation from the N.C. General Assembly. ...
