WASHINGTON, April 30 -- Rep. Chris Smith, R-New Jersey, has introduced the Human-Animal Hybrid Prohibition Act of 2008 (H.R. 5910), legislation that would "amend title 18, U.S. Code, to prohibit human-animal hybrids."
The bill, introduced on April 24, was co-sponsored by Reps. Doug Lamborn, R-Colorado; Joe Pitts, R-Pennsylvania; Mark Souder, R-Indiana; Mary Fallin, R-Oklahoma; Rick Renzi, R-Arizona; and Duncan Hunter, R-California. It was referred to the House Judiciary Committee.
