The discovery of a heretofore unidentified pathogen
I believe there may be a potentially heretofore unidentified pathogen that afflicts upper-year students at Canadian universities and that urgent action is required by university administration officials to investigate this matter further.
While examining student records of submitted medical exemptions ("sick notes") from two offerings of a first-year science course with a typical starting enrolment of greater than 1,000 students, I made the surprising discovery that upper-year students in this course submitted medical exemptions for missing a December exam at a disproportionately high rate compared to their relative course enrolment ...
