The President's address was discussed at the meeting. In this regard, Kay Avant assumed her appointed position on the board, in a spot that has remained vacant the past few years. I know her experience as Past President will be of help to me as I begin my tenure. Judith Warren agreed to take the lead in forming the Ad Hoc Committee on Informatics. Heather Herdman agreed to lead the Task Force on Diagnostic Promotion and Development. She noted that while it may take longer than 4 months to achieve all the objectives outlined, it will be possible to present a progress report at the next board meeting.
