Being black in the British work place is not as easy as people would like to believe; you are often out numbered within social circles and offer feel isolated as a result of this.
I have only ever worked in one establishment where three black women (including me) worked, and it made such a difference to our day as we were able to have our own debates and exchange our own colloquial quips.
It is hard being black in the work place, but particularly hard for black women as they tend to be more vocal and unable to hide what they are thinking.
