The U.S. International Trade Commission issued the following press release:

The U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) has voted to institute an investigation of certain power supplies. The products at issue in this investigation are power supplies for desktop computers.

The investigation is based on a complaint filed by Ultra Products, Inc., of Fletcher, OH, and Systemax, Inc., of Port Washington, NY, on April 4, 2008. The complaint alleges violations of section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 in the importation into the United States of certain power supplies that infringe a patent owned by the complainants.
