The city of Raleigh issued the following news release:
Volunteering to remove trash from a creek is rewarding but hard work for one day. Ditto for picking up litter along a major road! Imagine doing both cleanups on the same day and at the same time.
Members of the Crabtree Rotary Club will be out in force the morning of Saturday, May 17, to do a double cleanup. Club members in the City of Raleigh's Adopt-a-Stream Program will be joining Boy Scout Troop 357 to remove trash and debris from a two-mile stretch of Crabtree Creek between Duraleigh Road and Creedmoor Road. At the same time, other Crabtree Rotarians will be collecting litter along a nearly one-mile stretch of Glenwood Avenue ...
