Rep. Doc Hastings, R-Wash. (4th CD), issued the following news release:

Congressman Doc Hastings today asked Governor Gregoire to express support for the U.S.-Colombia Trade Promotion Act and help urge congressional leaders to schedule a vote on the vital trade agreement.

In a letter to Gregoire, Hastings noted that Colombia is the second largest market for U.S. farm products in Latin American and explained the benefits of the U.S.-Colombia Trade Promotion Act for Washington state.

Hastings first wrote to Gregoire in April asking her to support the agreement and help persuade Washington's congressional delegation to oppose efforts to rewrite trade law and indefinitely delay a vote on the ...
