NEW DELHI, India, May 10 -- The much touted Mike Myers movie, The Love Guru is still a month and half away from its release date (June 20). But it has already sprung controversies and miffed the guardians of the Hindu religion based in the US. The sudden spurt in protests has been caused by the release of the movie's trailer, which Hindu Janjagruti Samiti finds "offensive to Hindus because it mocks the sanctity of Guru-Shishya relationship."

Many other religious groups have joined the Hindu Janjagruti Samiti in voicing their protest against The Love Guru. Spiritual Science Research Foundation (SSRF) has even sent out open letters and press releases that tabulate the ...
