London, May 13 -- Babyshambles front man Pete Doherty has revealed that his cat made him realise that he was far gone on narcotics, when he tried to kill it with a spade.
He decided that his drug abusing had gone far enough, after he attempted to batter to death one of his kittens with a spade, making him seek help from Wormwood Scrubs, from where he earned his drug-free certificate.
"I got a shovel and was going to kill one of the cats. That was when I was, like, you know, 'I'm a bit of a mess'. It was a bit of a crazy time," The Sun quoted him as saying.
