The city of Elk Grove issued the following news release:
The Elk Grove City Council last night announced the appointment of Susan J. Blackston to the City Clerk position. Formerly the City of Elk Grove's Assistant City Clerk, Blackston has served the City of Elk Grove for nearly two years.
"Susan has notably distinguished herself in the City Clerk's Office," said Mayor Gary Davis. "Time and time again, Susan demonstrates her dedication to customer service and showcases daily a depth of knowledge of the laws and regulations that govern public records management."
