Minnesota State Rep. John Ward, DFL-District 12A, issued the following news release:
State Rep. John Ward (DFL-Brainerd) was very pleased to learn on Monday that an amendment he authored to repeal the tax-exempt status for seasonal property for school operating levies made it into the House Omnibus Tax Bill.
Ward's amendment failed to get the support needed for passage on the House floor last week; over the week-end, the conferees of the Omnibus Tax Bill agreed to add it to the final bill.
