The New York State Metropolitan Transportation Authority issued the following news release:

Ride a winner and take the MTA Long Island Rail Road to Belmont Park for the Spring racing season. Long Islanders can relax, save gas, and avoid the hassles of traffic and parking by taking the fast and easy way to Belmont Park with the LIRR's "Belmont Special." The LIRR's package ticket includes round-trip rail transportation and a $1 discount off the regular $2 grandstand admission to the track. Continuing through Sunday, July 20, LIRR trains will operate to and from Belmont Park on all racing days. First race begins at 1:00 PM. On Fridays - June 13 through July 18 - Sunset Racing begins at 3:00 ...
