NEW DELHI, India, May 17 -- ON A day when it looked like nothing could stop Virender Sehwag from singlehandedly taking apart the Mohali bowling attack, the rain gods played spoilsport, drenching the Ferozeshah Kotla with some serious rainfall just after 9pm.

Once the rain stopped, the ground staff worked ceaselessly and at the time of going to press, there were hopes of a shortened game being played.
