Doug Ladds has been honored as the 2007 Company Equipment Driver of the Year from the Truckload Carriers Association. Ladds, a driver for MacKinnon Transport Inc., Guelph, Ontario, since 1994, has driven more than 2.2 million accident-free miles in 24 years of driving. He was selected based on his excellent safety record, unblemished work history, and community and industry involvement. John Pipes, a driver for Con-way Truckload, Toplin, Mo., since 1988, took second place, and Steven French, a driver for Anderson Trucking Service Inc., St. Cloud, Minn., since 1995, placed third.
