ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 17 -- Melanie Turcotte of Anjou, Canada, and Josee Lalonde of St-Louis de Gonzague, Canada, have developed a garment with rescue device.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention provides a protective garment that comprises a torso portion for being positioned around a wearer's torso, a collar portion extending from the torso portion, and a security device.
