Charlotte County issued the following news release:
In a workshop on Friday, May 16, Charlotte County Commissioners reviewed the recommendations on increases and decreases on Municipal Service Benefit Units (MSBUs).
Gulf Cove Street & Drainage - Increase of $25 per Equivalent Residential Unit (ERU) to resurface 12.5 miles of roads. Proposed rates are $125 for occupied and $136 for vacant.
Northwest Port Charlotte Street & Drainage Unit Maintenance - Increase of $75 per ERU. Proposed rates are $118 for occupied and $125 for vacant. $52 of the increase is to resurface 5.2 miles of roads annually and $23 of the increase is to sustain current levels of maintenance.
