GUWAHATI, May 20 -- The Assamese film industry which announced its presence with Rupkonwar Jyotiprasad Agarwalla's epoch making Joymati, has been ailing since a long time back, the occasional Government assurances failing to bring respite to the limping film industry. The industry seems to reach an alarming low at present with the output dwindling like never before. What is more, film makers have also been facing difficulty in getting their movies exhibited allegedly due to the lukewarm response of exhibitors to regional films.
