Location, location, location: the next step

Peter S. Fox describes work which followed year 7 fieldwork (Parnell, 2007). The article outlines how this was managed, the key objectives of the exercise and how a number of obstacles were overcome along the way.

Those students in year 7 who had worked on the first part of the project and had produced the best work, not necessarily the highest achieving generally, were given an opportunity to develop the idea further by talking over the problem of what information new or prospective residents might want to know about Attenborough as a place to live in, even if they knew nothing about it and were unable to visit it (Figure 1).
