OTTAWA -- It may not be necessary to say this, but you should avoid asking for a cigarette from someone who's interviewing you for a job. And just for good measure, try to stay awake during the interview.
Such truths may seem self-evident, but a survey conducted by international staffing firm, OfficeTeam, shows these and other gaffes are well within the realm of possibility in the job-interview setting.
The firm, based in California, asked 150 senior executives in the U.S. and 100 in Canada to describe the most bizarre interview behaviour they'd witnessed or heard about.
