Article: U.S., Australian Inventors Develop Multiprocessor System Clusters Management System

ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 28 -- Gregory A. Olmstead, Gregory I. Thiel and Michael D. O'Brien, all from King Country, Wash., and Peter Gravestock of Queensland, Australia, have developed a cluster management system.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "In clusters of multiprocessor systems it is important that these processor nodes are aware of each others availability and performance capabilities. In highly available systems using these multiprocessor systems there needs to be a method to dynamically bring nodes both into the cluster and to remove nodes out of the cluster.
