Article: DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY TO BEGIN SAMPLING WELLS IN DOWNTOWN LEBANON

The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality issued the following news release:

Lebanon residents may notice some well-sampling activity in north Lebanon neighborhoods in the coming weeks. A contractor working for the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) will be collecting well water samples at residences and businesses in parts of downtown Lebanon to see if the wells are contaminated with industrial chemicals. For those wells that have contamination at levels of health concern, DEQ will work to ensure that people are not exposed to contaminated water.
