What began as a suggestion to Mike Langlois to open a shop to make airplane parts by a fellow flying enthusiast has grown into a thriving business that produces precision-machined parts for the aerospace, defense, and pharmaceutical industries.
Langlois, who is the founder of Aero Precision Machine (Julian, NC), owned and ran his first lathe in his parent's basement when he was 13 years old. During high school, his interest in model airplanes led to starting a business making model airplane parts and selling them nationally and internationally.
