A school program with humble beginnings 12 students in one community has spread its wings so far that not only is it the most successful school in Canada, said its creator, but it's being looked at as a model in Australia and China.
In 2000, Martin Sacher made a discovery that changed his life and the lives of many Aboriginal youth.
At the time a principal at a public high school, Sacher was asked to speak at the Sunchild First Nations, located northwest of Rocky Mountain House.
He recalls, that he wasn't too anxious to make the trip. "But the moment I did that, I knew, it was as clear as the sun coming up, that the good Lord wanted me to work with Aboriginal people."
