Article: PELELIU SAILORS PUT ON CHEVRONS

Ninety seven Sailors serving aboard USS Peleliu (LHA 5) are wearing new chevrons following an advancement ceremony held May 28, on the ship's flight deck.

Capt. Marcus A. Hitchcock, Peleliu's commanding officer, frocked 53 third class petty officers, 38 second class petty officers and six first class petty officers on the flight deck, as the ship steamed westward on its current deployment.
