The government of Ethiopia issued the following news release:
Prime Minister Meles Zenawi in his stay in Yokohama discussed with Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda, members of business community, senior official of European Union Commission and heads of the UK department for international assistance (DFID) on various issues on the sidelines of TICAD IV summit in Yokohama, Japan.
The discussion with the business community focused on strengthening the trade and investment ties between Ethiopia and Japan.
During his discussion with Prime Minister Meles, the Japanese Premier lauded Ethiopia's role in the African Union.
