Operator Savant Alaska LLC, a unit of Denver-based Savant Resources LLC, spudded its #1 Kupcake on Alaska's North Slope. The 11,000-ft. test targets Kemik sand in Section 29-11n-18e, Umiat Meridian, reports IHS Energy. It is 17.4 miles east of Prudhoe Bay and 4.3 miles southeast of Endicott fields.
The #9-4-9 Smilodon, #28-6-9 Panthera and #6-3-9 Mastodon presumably targeted Cretaceous sands on Alaska's North Slope. Chevron Corp.'s Unocal subsidiary drilled three wildcats in its White Hills exploration program in the Brooks Range foothills, in Section 9-4n-9e, Section 28-6n-9e and Section 6-3n-9e, Umiat Meridian, respectively.
