Ameriwest Energy Corp., Casper, Wyo., (OTCBB: AWEC) plans to acquire up to 95% working interest (79.9% net revenue interest) in the Burke Ranch unit in Wyoming from Casper, Wyo.-based Hot Springs Resources Ltd. for an undisclosed price.
Along with the 1,920-acre unit, Ameriwest can earn up to 100% working interest (82% net revenue interest) in the 6,879-acre adjacent leases in Natrona County.
Ameriwest plans to initiate a workover program to evaluate and re-establish water-flood production in the unit within 30 days after closing.
