Article: STATE POLICE, NEW YORK STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION JOIN TO ADVOCATE FOR SAFE DRIVING BEHAVIORS

The New York State Department of Transportation issued the following news release:

The New York State Department of Transportation is again joining the New York State Police to promote a safety campaign to reduce the number of highway accidents caused by acts of aggressive driving. This year, the Jefferson County locations have been designated as Route 342 between I-81 and Rte. 11 in LeRay and Rte. 11 between Rte. 342 and the North Gate of Fort Drum in the town of Pamelia. State Police cars will be dedicated to patrol the corridor and crack down on motorists not following the rules of the road. Similar campaigns are being carried out across the state throughout the summer.
