WASHINGTON, June 9 -- Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nevada, has introduced the Strengthening Transparency and Accountability in Federal Spending Act of 2008 (S. 3077), legislation that would "strengthen transparency and accountability in federal spending."
The bill, introduced on June 3, was co-sponsored by Sens. Tom Coburn, R-Oklahoma; Tom Carper, D-Delaware; and John McCain, R-Arizona. It was referred to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
