ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 10 -- Xavier Gibert of Chassieu, France, Francis Lepage of Dommartin, France, and Bertrand Barre of Lapeyrouse, France, have developed a sports shoe.
According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention relates to a footwear item that is designed for racket sports. The inventive item includes a sole that includes a dynamic element that stores and releases energy when the sole is subjected to lateral stresses.
