Cherokee Casino Employees Rise to the Challenge by Gathering Thousands of Items for Oklahoma Troops

The Cherokee Nation, a federally-recognized Native American tribe, issued the following news release:

As part of Cherokee Casino's employee troop supply drive, the security, surveillance and loss prevention department filled seven pallets recently with 22,635 donated items, winning a company-wide challenge. Overall, casino employees collected more than 40,000 items during the month-long drive in May. The items will be packaged and shipped to Iraq this week to troops serving with Oklahoma's own 45th Infantry Brigade.
