ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 11 -- Michael T. Perkins of Austin, Texas, has developed a guitar auxiliary device.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, the invention relates to an "apparatus for converting a standard electric bass guitar to play as a classical upright bass guitar. A bass guitar stand up apparatus may include a mounting stand such as a tri or uni-pod, an adapter, an arm, and a stabilizer. The apparatus may be adjustable for height selection.
