The city of Reno issued the following news release:
A large-scale earthquake based disaster exercise will be held at the Regional Public Safety Training Center this week bringing Fire Department and National Guard Resources Together.
The Reno Fire Department's Urban Search and Rescue team (USAR) will respond to the site of a collapsed building with trapped victims Thursday morning, the result of a 7.1 magnitude earthquake that hits the Reno area.
The earthquake and collapsed structure situation won't be real but response by specially trained Reno firefighters with special equipment designed for confined space rescue, structure stabilization and other USAR components will be as close as ...
