The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Transportation Security Administration issued the following press release:

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) today announced the selection of Derek "Rick" DePietro as federal security director (FSD) for Buffalo Niagara International Airport. As FSD, he will oversee all TSA operations at Buffalo Niagara and spoke operations at Chautauqua County and Niagara Falls International airports.

"Rick's professional track record speaks volumes of his dedication to TSA and we know he will provide excellent leadership as the FSD," said Mo McGowan, assistant administrator for Security Operations.
