ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- Di Faramarz Bairamijamal of Linz, Australia, has developed a high-pressure process for preparing pure melamine.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention relates to a high pressure method for producing pure melamine by pyrolyzing urea in a vertical synthesis reactor.
