South Korean Inventors Develop Polymer Nanocomposite Membrane

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 13 -- Jae-sung Lee and Chang-houn Rhee, both of Pohang-si, South Korea, Hyuk Chang of Scongnam-si, South Korea, and Hae-kyoung Kim of Seoul, South Korea, have developed a hydrogen ionic conductive inorganic material.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A hydrogen ionic conductive inorganic material having a layered structure, wherein a moiety containing a functional group with hydrogen ionic conductivity is introduced between layers of an inorganic material having a nano-sized interlayer distance."
