SEN. NELSON PUSHES FOR SOLUTION ON DTV CONVERSION COUPONS

The office of Sen. Ben Nelson, D-Neb., issued the following news release:

Nebraska's Senator Ben Nelson is pressing for a solution to recent problems with government-issued subsidy coupons for digital television (DTV) conversion boxes. In two letters to the National Telecommunications Information Administration (NTIA) he has urged quick action in changing the present limitations.

"The current limitations and hurdles that certain consumers must deal with are making the transition from analog to DTV needlessly difficult," said Senator Ben Nelson. "We must make this upgrade as smooth as possible."
