WASHINGTON, June 17 -- Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-California, has introduced the Oil Speculation Control Act of 2008 (S. 3131), legislation that would "amend the Commodity Exchange Act to ensure the application of speculation limits to speculators in energy markets."
The bill, introduced on June 12, was co-sponsored by Sen. Ted Stevens, R-Alaska. It was referred to the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Committee.
