Manufacturers unleash a rash of poison ivy treatments

Spring is in the air and that means people will be spending more time outdoors. What treatments will patients find on pharmacy shelves if they succumb to poison ivy and other poisonous plants? Here's a preview of products that manufacturers are itching to sell:

Zanfel Laboratories is offering Zanfel Poison Ivy Wash to treat poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac. The item is supposed to remove the invisible itch-causing toxin urushiol from the skin after bonding, enabling the affected area to immediately begin healing. The company claims that after using Zanfel, itching and pain are relieved, usually within 30 seconds.

Tec Labs is premiering Tecnu Rash Relief Medicated Anti-Itch Spray. ...
