BRANCH LIBRARY CLOSES THE DOORS

After 15 years, the SW Branch will cease operation. The library board voted unanimously during their March meeting to close the branch. The last day is set for Tuesday, May 20, 2008.

The vote came at the end of a five-year study as part of the library's long range planning process. And while the location and demographic environment were contributing factors, the overall reason for the decision was the low usage of the branch.
