The Humane Society issued the following news release:
For the third consecutive year, The Humane Society of the United States is partnering with the SilverDocs: AFI/Discovery Channel Documentary Festival to promote animal advocacy through its $25,000 feature documentary grant, which drew an unprecedented 60 submissions from around the world.
The six finalists for The HSUS' Animal Content in Entertainment (ACE) grant will pitch their animal protection-themed projects to a panel of programming and distribution executives from PBS, Animal Planet, and National Geographic in a closed session at the SilverDocs Festival.
