New Hampshire's Public 100: Taking Stock of NH

Everyone's sifting through the tea leaves to get a fix on where the economy is headed. Those looking at the performance of NH companies in the stock market are receiving a mixed message. During the past year, five NH companies filed intents to offer IPOs with the US. Securities and Exchange Commission - three in 2007 and two in 2008. However, none have acted on them as of press time. While that number of filings in a one-year period hasn't been seen in NH in more than eight years, economists believe it has more to do with chance than any economic indicators.
