Old is new again, according to Terrance L. McGiIl, president of Enbridge Energy Co. Inc.
"About 120 years ago, Texas was the hottest thing going in the oil and gas industry. That is true again today, with the development of the Texas, Permian, Anadarko, Fort Worth, East Texas and Gulf Coast basins." McGiIl said at the Midstream Development & Management conference recently in Houston.
There is more gas to be found in Texas than in Alaska, he said. The midstream sector has to ramp up infrastructure to move that gas into the markets. New pipelines and processing are needed to assure that producers can keep the wells flowing.
