There is less than four months from the beginning of the World Library and Information Congress: 74th IFLA General Conference and Council, that will be held this summer in Quebec City, from August 10 to 14 with "Libraries without borders: Navigating towards global understanding". The Congress will address a wide range of issues which impact not only the global library and information profession, but society as a whole. Many of the issues relate to building knowledge societies. It is particularly important, in this professional context, to ensure that delegates from developing countries participate fully in these debates.
