MSgt. Woodrow W. Keeble
* I enjoyed your April issue, especially the story and photographs about MSgt. Woodrow Wilson Keeble and the recent awarding of his Medal of Honor ("Washington Report" and "Back Page"). Truly, it was a great day for all Americans to finally see this brave soldier properly recognized for his heroic deeds.
Unfortunately, your story simply mentions that he was a member of the 24th Infantry Division during the Korean War, without any reference to his journey to this active duty unit.
When the Korean War erupted, MSgt. Keeble rejoined Company I, 164th Infantry Regiment, North Dakota National Guard, based in Wahpeton, N.D. His unit was mobilized and ordered to deploy to ...
