Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum issued following the news release:
Ever see a pink pig make a check presentation? We didn't think so. But one of the most famous mascots in South Carolina, Mr. Pig, recently presented a $5,000 check to Jimmy Bagwell, President of the Patriots Point Foundation. Actually, the generous gift is from Piggly Wiggly Carolinas and will go towards construction of the new Patriots Point Marine Education Center to be built on board the aircraft carrier USS Yorktown.
With construction scheduled to begin this fall, the Patriots Point Marine Education Center is unique to the Charleston area because it offers a cross-training field trip experience by bundling ...
