How AI Country Specialist Salem A. Salem moved from political opposition to human rights activism

As a Libyan political activist in self-imposed exile during the early 1980s, Salem A. Salem got to know Sudanese students working against the regime of Sudan's President Gaafar Nimeiri. "When [the opposition leaders] seized power, they were no different than the previous regime," Salem observed.
