AI urges Board of Pardons and Appeals to halt Davis execution

In the wake of Georgia's March 17 Supreme Court ruling denying condemned prisoner Troy Davis a new trial or evidentiary hearing, Amnesty International is pressing the Georgia Board of Pardons and Appeals to keep its word that it "will not allow an execution to proceed in this state unless and until its members are convinced that there is no doubt as to the guilt of the accused."
